The climate can have great impact on the human health. Climate therapy is often a part of the whole complex approach, and depending on the nature of the disease a specific climate region is chosen. The method of curing diseases by temporary living in specific climatic conditions implies using certain meteorological factors, i.e. the peculiarities of the climatic and weather conditions of a particular location for medical and preventive purposes. The basic elements of the climate are the gas composition of the atmosphere, the relative content of oxygen in it, the level of contamination, the presence of particles that carry an electric charge, atmospheric pressure, humidity, precipitation, temperature, the intensity of the sun radiation, magnetism, as well as many other factors.

The influence of climatic factors on the state of the human organism is carried reflexly through the central nervous system. Different types of climate (steppe, marine, continental, mountain, desert, etc.) have on the human body a different effect.

  • Steppe climate is very warm and dry. It is recommended for patients with chronic bronchitis and pleurisy, pulmonary tuberculosis. Contraindications to the defeat of the cardiovascular system with signs of circulatory disorders.
  • Marine climate is indicated for treatment of respiratory diseases, functional disorders of the nervous system, metabolic disorders, etc.
  • Alpine climate has a strong effect on tuberculosis diseases, respiratory and cardiovascular system, stimulates the metabolism.
