SCALP HAIR RESTORATION

With the coming of age thinning hair becomes a more and more serious aesthetic problem for both men and women. Sometimes even the most expensive anti-hair loss products including allopathic drugs, herbal oils, and home remedies fail to help.

Microtransplantation technique is well known and successfully used in different countries. Over the last decade this method has proved itself well in Ukraine. Transplantation is a treatment modality that guarantees good results and resolves the hair loss problem for those who are concerned about it.

The hair at the back of the head is not sensitive to men’s hormones. That is why they do not fall out after transplantation at the new site.

Microtransplantation is possible only in those cases when the amount of hair at the donor site is a compatible match with a bald or thinning area. This approach helps to correct scars of the hair-bearing scalp area, eyebrows, genetically determined bald patch on top of head, etc.
Before and after microtransplantation

The hair transplantation is done under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure and is associated with minimal to no pain. During the procedure, the "donor strips" from 2 to 5 cm wide are taken from the back of a patient’s head. The patient's existing hair on the back of the scalp will cover the sutures and resulting scarring, so that even the day after surgery no sutures or scarring is evident.

Experienced surgical assistants help to separate the donor site into natural follicular hair groupings, or grafts. Every graft contains 1 – 3 hair follicles. The surgery takes several hours transplanting an average of about 1500 grafts. When a large amount of coverage is needed several surgical sessions within a 1 – 2 month period may be needed to achieve a satisfactory fullness and healing effect. To make sure that your incisions are healing properly, your doctor will probably want to see you several times during the first month after surgery.

Transplanted hair care is no different from normal hair care and you can wash your hair gently within 2 days following the surgery. Gentle soap washing is important for it will protect the hair follicles and reduce the risk of infection. Given time the transplanted hair will continue its normal growth cycle
